June 12 - Mindful Eating - Food For Thought

Mindfulness is a profound way to bring equilibrium to how we interact with food. Whether eating for comfort, eating on the go, or feeling like you should finish your plate mindless eating happens at times.

When we eat this way we miss out on the delight of creating, experiencing the senses while eating and savoring. Mindless eating weighs on us…literally, straining our digestive system, causing physical discomfort, eliciting stress hormones, decreasing pleasure, triggering inflammation and promoting weight gain. There is no doubt that for many of us mindless eating impacts us deeply and we can gain from strengthening our skills in mindful eating. Dr. Brandi Eijsermans, Optimal Wellness Global in collaboration with Sabine Leitner-de Potter, RainbowMind present a SuperSheros interactive workshop to support your mindful eating with attention, intention and wise indulgence. Cultivate you inner wisdom —awareness of how our body and mind are reacting and interacting—and outer wisdom—making wiser use of nutrition and behavioral psychology to reveal and satisfy your needs and preferences. Indulge your senses with the cuisine of LiLi Centre resident Chef, Arthaud. Come join in a dining experience to reconnect with your body, mind and the joy of eating.
