As you might have already heard, winter swimming has numerous physical and mental health benefits. Immersing ourselves in the cold strengthens our immune system and improves our circulation while also reducing inflammation and lifting mood.
I have personally been taking cold showers on a daily basis for over ten years now. In 2017, I started with winter swimming and began training in the Wim Hof method, which enabled me to climb Mt Sniezka in Poland in shorts at -15°C (-30°C wind chill). A truly unforgettable experience!
This year, I feel motivated to share my knowledge with a small group of like-minded people. The group will meet every Tuesday from 12:00 – 13:00 at the LiLi Centre. We will start off with a quick warm up, followed by a refreshing dip in the lake. Afterwards, we will head back to the Centre to change and warm up! There is a shower at the Centre which is free for Members to use (CHF 5.- for non members)!
What to bring:
· Comfortable and warm clothes
· Swimwear (ideally, already worn underneath your clothes)
· Good Mood
