Each week Lucy will send participants a question, theme, or a news article (in English) ahead of time to be discussed in the group. The group will offer a relaxed, friendly environment for people to gain confidence and experience of speaking in an informal setting. Come along and join the conversation!

"I grew up near Winchester in England, and came to Switzerland at the end of December. My previous experience with languages is perhaps a bit unusual. I studied psychology at undergrad and then did a master's in speech, language, and cognition, with my research project focusing on cognition in people with language impairments following stroke ("anomia" - difficulty in naming objects). So, more the concepts and "brain stuff" behind language in general... Last year I also spent 5 months at the Goethe Institut in Germany (Freiburg, Berlin, and Munich) learning German up to about B2/C1 level, so I like to think I can empathise with the group as we may be a similar level at each other's languages. Maybe I will learn something from them as well!"
