Did you know that the clothing industry is responsible for 10% of all greenhouse gas emissions worldwide (that’s more than all flights combined); 120 million trees are cut down every year to make clothes and it takes 2700 litres of water to make one t-shirts (that’s as much drinking water for one person over 2 years).
At the LiLi Centre we have decided to do our bit to help the environment and a cloth oriented Eco Friendly Day.
Walk-in Wardrobe: We will have a big walk in wardrobe for children and adults. So we are calling anyone who has good quality unblemished clothes to contact us so that we can set up a big second hand clothes shopping day. You can decide whether you want to swap or donate clothes. email here
Clothing Repair Café: Clothes will be adjusted or repaired professionally by Esther Miller for a fee Please contact Esther beforehand so that she can give you an appointment email here.
Soft Toy Hospital: If your stuffed cuddly friends are in need of patching up Susan Fehr is at hand to help. For a small fee she is prepared to do patches, holes, noses and eyes.
